Navigating Seasonal Transitions & Relational Alignment: Reflections from the Circle of Care
"I am present in my body. I am open in my heart."

During our recent SWDG Circle of Care gathering, we convened under a powerful celestial threshold to reflect on how we move through seasons of change, not just in the skies above, but in our personal lives, spiritual work, and relational villages.
When we looked at the cosmic shifts surrounding us, we were reminded that energy moves in cycles. How we ground ourselves, discern our relationships, and honor reciprocity determines how effectively we navigate those shifts.
The Celestial Backdrop: Cosmic Friction & Long-Term Momentum
The sky recently hosted a rare six-planet pre-dawn alignment, with Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Uranus, Saturn, and Neptune lining up along the ecliptic. There was a little tension between Mars and Saturn, astrologically, this combination brought feelings of restriction, cosmic friction, and temporary resistance. I was feeling some big energy with persons I have been working with for a while. This was a celestial teaching moment. Now I am not a guru on solar energy however I do share what understandings I received in this shift with you in hopes it can help you tap in and move through this season with grace and ease.
What I learned in this shift was a crucial lesson: trust my gut, my Ori, and do not under any circumstances force alignment. Wow, that was a powerful lesson to learn. In the midst of the lesson there was some grace, Jupiter-Saturn trine has been holding me down and stand as the reminder that seeds long planted will mature to evidenced growth. Look at any astrological calendar, thanks SiStar FBD for sharing yours with me (September Cosmic Forecast) as we can see that this big energy is far from over.
September Transitions & Solar Energy

As we move through September, follow the shifts and the three major cosmic markers.
September 11- Virgo New Moon- calling in the 'get your life in order' kinda energy.
September 22- Autumn Equinox- calling in balance and harmony.
September 26- Aries Harvest Full Moon- the fire that gets us going boldly in the direction of our best self.
The Akan Wisdom Framework: Boa Me Na Me Mmoa Wo
At the heart of our discussion was the Akan Adinkra symbol Boa Me Na Me Mmoa Wo, which translates to "help me and let me help you".

Healthy community requires mutual pouring. It demands that we give and receive, hold and allow ourselves to be held. This wisdom aligns seamlessly with two other sacred principles:
Ma'at (Ancient Kemet): Truth, balance, cosmic order, and right relationship.
Ubuntu (South Africa): "My becoming is bound up with yours."
Discerning Relational Alignment
Alignment is two fold, finding the right people and becoming the right person in community. This requires three essential facets of relational health
Recognizing Disordered Dynamics: Some relationships become strained because one person is always pouring while the other consumes. Other dynamics fracture because we offer help continuously but refuse to receive it.
Honoring Seasonal Capacity: Some people love us deeply but simply are not equipped to accompany the particular work or vision we are birthing in this season. Some relationships belonged to past chapters, and it's okay to name that they will not make the shift.
Becoming the Village: Accountability requires self-reflection. We must ask: Am I being a reciprocal, supportive member of someone else's village and allowing someone to be that as a part of mine?
Reflection Questions for Your Journey
Take time to journal or meditate on these reflection prompts I shared with our Circle of Care circle:
Pouring & Receiving: Where in your life are you over-pouring, or where are you refusing to let yourself be supported?
Seasonal Alignment: Who in your circle is genuinely equipped to accompany the particular work you are called to do right now?
Reciprocal Accountability: Are you in right relationship with those who pour into you? How are you actively building your village?
What We Release & What We Invite
In our collective interactive exercise, our circle mapped out what we are laying down and what we are stepping into as autumn approaches. I invite you to do the same.
What We Release | What We Invite |
Non-reciprocal energy & forced connections | Mutual care, ease, & reciprocal village support |
Over-functioning & hyper-independence | Grounded Virgo routines & organizational clarity |
Guilt around setting firm boundaries | Aries courage to step boldly into the new season |
Expectations on people incapable of holding us | Sustained alignment with right-fitting partners |
As we come to the close of this reflection my prayer is that you took the time to think deeply on what was shared. Some who read this I know personally other I have yet to meet, yet I encourage us all to use all the tools available to get in alignment

Help Me- Share this blog with someone who needs to catch on to this cosmic flow we are in and make the life changes necessary to move forward aligned with the greatest good.
Let Me Help You- Looking for a place that honors the lived experience of Black Women, let's connect.
Closing Blessing
May you step into this autumn season surrounded by relationships that honor your growth, hold your spirit, and walk beside you in true reciprocity.
